Mr. Ilan Cohen - Chairman
Former Director General of Israel’s Prime Minister’s office during the term of Ariel Sharon (2004-2006), Mr. Ilan Cohen held direct responsibility for all economic and internal affairs on behalf of the prime minister. This position included major privatizations, structural reforms and annual national budget as well as the responsibility of being part of Israel's official negotiation team in some of its most sensitive political discussions. Mr. Cohen also served as advisor to "Teva" for over 5 years; this position included major launches of ethic and generic drugs. As of today, he acts as founder of several major organizations: POC, one of Israel’s foremost strategic consulting firms; “DAKA 90” which provides travel package deals and air tickets ; and “STATE AUCTION” which provides consumers auction bids on consumer products. During his military service Mr. Cohen served as Officer in an elite military unit, he also holds a B.A in Business Management and Economics and MBA from INSEAD business school, both with distinction.
Mr. Ronen Melnik - Director Partner at Wanaka Capital, before founding Wanaka Mr. Melnik spent 8 years at McKinsey & Company where he was a Partner and Co Founded Tel Aviv Office of the company. At his position Mr. Melnik served clients in medical devices, chemicals, airlines, VC, High-Tech and brings strategic experience to the company. Mr. Melnik was a Pilot in the Israeli air force and has BA in economics and management from the Tel Aviv University and MBA from Wharton
Mr. Ron Nagar - Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, Director Founder of three medical devices, and two optical communication companies with 13 years executive roles in innovative medical device companies Recent 8 years developing products for diabetics – President / CEO positions. Mr. Nagar is Author and co–author of 26 published patents and patent applications, most of which are devices for diabetics. Mr. Nagar has M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion.
Dr. Gabriel Bitton - Founder, Vice President R&D, Director Founder of two medical device companies. Dr. Bitton has 10 years experience in R&D development of medical device company, developing devices for diabetics. Dr. Bitton has extensive knowledge in physical and physiological aspects related to diabetics. He holds Ph.D. in applied physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. Dr. Bitton has published several papers and has to his credit over 25 patents and patent applications, most of them are related to medical devices. Previously Dr. Bitton served as Glucon Chief Technology officer. Prior to that Dr. Bitton served as group leader of the quantum optics group at Oak Ridge national laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Mr. Udi Gilboa - Founder, Chief Financial Officer, Director Founder and Managing Partner of TopNotch Capital, Israel’s leading Life-Science investment banking boutique which has executed over 120 corporate finance transactions with extensive experience in life-science deals. Mr. Gilboa was Former Head of Investment Banking at Discount Capital Market (Israel Discount Bank). Mr. Gilboa is founder of 3 Life-Science companies and held CFO position of technology company. Mr. Gilboa holds BA in Political Science from Tel-Aviv University and MBA from Tel-Aviv University
Dr. Benny Pesach - Founder, Consultant Founder of two medical devices companies, an optical communication company and 3D printing technology that was transferred to a printing company. Dr. Pesach has over 12 years experience in projects management and development in the fields of physics, electro-optics, signal processing, electronics and software. Dr. Pesach spent the last 8 years developing products for diabetics. Dr. Pesach has a Ph.D. in applied physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. Dr. Pesach’s work received Israel’s Defense prize. Dr. Pesach has published several papers and has to his credit over 30 patents and patent applications, most of them are on medical devices.
